Arboretum Announced as Coach Friendly Attraction of the Year at the British Coach Tourism Awards 2018

The UK’s best coach tour operators, destinations, visitor attractions, hotels, and tourism industry suppliers, were honoured last night (21 March) at the 2018 British Coach Tourism Awards.

During the ceremony the National Memorial Arboretum was presented with the award for Coach Friendly Attraction of the year. Nine other finalists competed in the category which is awarded to attractions that demonstrate not only their commitment to welcoming coaches, coach groups and coach drivers, but also how that welcome has been developed/ enhanced over the last year.

The prestigious awards ceremony, which took place at the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham, brought together nearly 400 industry professionals to recognise and celebrate excellence and innovation across the multi-billion-pound coach tourism sector.

A range of special group packages, free coach parking, a coach welcome service, special group discounts and catering vouchers for coach drivers are just some of ways that the Arboretum offers ‘a day to remember’ for visiting groups. Special group packages for landmark events in the Arboretum’s 2018 events programme including the summer proms at the Arboretum, Armistice Day and Christmas events are also available.

Other winners at the awards included; Hilton Worldwide, ICT Group Travel, the musical 42nd Street and coach tour operators Gardiners NMC, Bakers Dolphin, Bayliss Executive Travel, Travel by Knight and Hough’s of Lincolnshire.

The annual awards are organised by Diversified Communications UK and hosted by Group Tourism & Travel MagazineThis year’s celebrity presenter was TV personality and broadcaster Angela Rippon CBE.
